Excerpt: I Just Had to Post it Here For Convenience

I got ecstatic by the time I got out from college. Aside from the thrill of being a Quadricentennial graduate, I've prepared myself for a new endeavor. They say, when you're a Psychology graduate. it's easy to get employed-- a course that's pretty flexible in any work setting.

By all fields that Psychology had, I chose to be in the educational setting, going against the trend that everyone would like to be in the corporate world. I happily embraced my childhood dream, and that is to be a preschool teacher. At first, I entered college as a Psychology major to pursue Medicine afterwards. Well, then, everything changed when I decided not to depend all my fate to my parents' desires. By all means, first love really never dies.

I love being around kids and now I'm working with kids. Subjects like Human Development, Educational Psychology, Human Exceptionality and among others had been a great help understanding these kids I'm teaching nowadays. It's not that I am underestimating the art of making lesson plans, preparing fun activities, making assessments and evaluations and such. It is more on the in depth understanding of your students and by that, you 'll know how to stir their curiosity and get them motivated anytime. And that's how it goes everyday. But at the end of the day, no matter how tiring is to be with the pesky kids, their happiness is so infectious that it gets to my system until I go home.

I hope this will also serve as a calling for everyone that if you are Psychology graduate, you got all the doors open for you. It is your own choice on whatever makes you happy. If it makes you happy, then do it. What's important is being able to love what you do, and at the same time, feel fulfillment. Remember, Maslow's hierarchy of needs? :)
